It was quiet, it was taut and was always tantalising us with what-could-happen-nexts. Take George and Evan-- they only share one scene together and he BARELY looks in her direction. I fully expected him to say something to her or look at her with Meaning in the Eyes, but he never does. Awesome, in retrospect?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09610611971424924332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8930820078773220980.post-37496108132798317102011-12-01T10:34:08.625-08:002011-12-01T10:34:08.625-08:00I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS REVIEW! Saw this movie a few days ago, liked it, and your review brings back flashes, very nice imagery. Puts this movie in an even nicer place in my head.Shejahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09001512968126349248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8930820078773220980.post-51912119247395699752011-11-30T22:57:23.341-08:002011-11-30T22:57:23.341-08:00considering its pedigree, I thought it was rather ...considering its pedigree, I thought it was rather disappointing: sure the performances were great, the directing was spot one, and the script was neat, but in the end, what was Clooney trying to say that we don't (unfortunately) know thoroughly well already? For one, the title gives you cause to expect much more toil and tumble, and instead the movie feels like, as one reviewer put it, a sub-plot pulled out from a larger drama. Thoroughly underwhelming, and only really worthwhile to see Ryan Gosling shine in front of more experienced thespians.Danish Sheikhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11715691370124189956noreply@blogger.com
